The international NGO 'La Voute Nubienne' has developed a business model based on alternative earth-based construction approaches, which actually date back thousands of years to ancient Nubian civilizations and which may celebrate an unexpected revival. Simple constructions following this technique are reported to be finished within 15 days and basic homes are priced at around $ 150.
